Welcome to my online art site. I am delighted to be here and would be pleased to hear from you in my comment section. At present I paint all my originals by hand - with a brush and paint.
Michael L. Jacques, BFA, MFA, is a printmaker, sculptor, fine art painter, teacher, and Admissions Advisor at the Laguna College of Art & Design(LCAD) in Laguna Beach, California. As a painter, Michael combines oils and acrylics on panels and canvas. His master printmaking(intaglio), as a result of his excellent free-form drawing skills, have won many prizes, as have his paintings. His works are in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian National Collection of Fine Art, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Museum of American Art, Washington, D.C. For 20 years, Michael has exhibited his paintings in the celebrated Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, an annually held summer show in conjunction with the historical Pageant of the Masters.
Since the summer of 2012, Mr. Jacques has been on hiatus from the FOA to pursue his latest creative venture- sculpture - which will make its debut at the 2014 show, beginning July 7th. Be sure to stop by his Laguna Beach booth at the FOA to say hello!
